Street Artists deface their own murals as an act of love for their community

Black and Brown communities were hardest hit by COVID-19, but the official messages weren’t reaching them. So we partnered with street artists to deface their own murals as a grassroots message to mask up and cover our community.

The initial investment of one woman’s stimulus check earned over 118 Million Media Impressions including coverage on NPR and CNN, a featured exhibit at the David J Spencer CDC Museum, a grant from Emory Healthcare, a community partnership with Emory Healthcare and a feature in YouTube’s mask PSA “Do it for us. Do it for them”.
